Jackson Middle School is proud to serve a culturally diverse population of students. Each student is held to high expectations in academics and behavior. To further develop skills and provide leadership opportunities, extracurricular activities, clubs and organizations are available for all students.

Jackson Middle School provides an engaging learning community where students are challenged to become leaders, where high expectations are set and met, where critical thinking is developed and where life-long connections are made in preparation for high school and beyond.

Education Approach
Provide quality in all content areas to all students, including English Language Learners (ELL) and Special Education (SPED) through all core teachers implementing the following strategies: increasing the use of academic language and academic vocabulary in both teacher to student and student to student conversations, using Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questioning generated by the students, use of differentiated instructional strategies, such as leveled reading and small group instruction, implementing writing and annotating into classroom instruction, utilizing the interactive instructional strategies presented by Marzano and Teach Like a Champion such as: Think-Ink-Pair-Share; Solve-Pair-Share; Write-Pair-Share; Pair (2)-Square (4); Peer to Peer; Student as Teacher; and "Say Something"/No opt out

Our Cluster
Welcome to the LEE Cluster in the North East Independent School District. As a Jackson Middle School School student, your child will establish a passion, curiosity, and foundation for life-long learning while nurturing their social and emotional skills. Outside of the classroom, your child can embrace what they love or try something new through diverse clubs, programs and organizations.
Your child will discover even more opportunities at Nimitz and Jackson Middle School. As their academic foundation expands in the classroom, their circle of friends and experiences will grow through new opportunities in Athletics, Fine Arts, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, competitive UIL contests, and more. The STEM Academy Middle School magnet is located at Nimitz. In this program, students forge a foundation for future careers in biomedical sciences, engineering, and technology fields.
At Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School, your child will excel academically and socially while embracing beloved Volunteer traditions with memories that will last a lifetime. Your child has the freedom and support to pursue their passions in a variety of nationally recognized programs, organizations, and clubs – from Athletics to JROTC, Band, Dance, PALS, Photography, UIL, and much more.
LEE High School is home to the International School of the Americas (ISA), the STEM Academy High School, and the North East School of the Arts (NESA). ISA focuses on project-based learning that tackles global issues while NESA paves the way for students interested in theatre, filmmaking, writing, art, and dance. The STEM Academy offers problem-based, technology-rich curriculum for students wanting to continue their study of science, technology, engineering, and math after graduation.
